Rimu is found only in New Zealand. It is present in mature native forests of both the South and Norld Island from 0 - 600m elevation.
Rimu heartwood (Heart Rimu) is one of the worlds most beautifukly grained timbers.
It is very durable, being resistant to rot and insect attack.
